This is a stove in
the Art Deco style
from the 1940/50's
manufactured by
Coste. The colour is
a beautiful French
blue enamel.
It burns wood, coal
or coke making it a
very versatile
stove.
Fuel is loaded from
the top. Simply lift
the enamel lid and
then the second lid
to the firebox and
pop in the coal or
wood. The
construction is of
heavy cast iron, and
it is quite a lump.
It is in full
functioning order
and the firebox,
grate and riddler
are all in excellent
condition.
It is in good
condition and the
enamel is fine,
there are however a
few chips below the
door on the right
commensurate age and
use.
There are also some
larger chips on both
the left and right
sides near to the
back at the bottom
as can be seen in
the photos.
This stove will burn
for around nine
hours with
anthracite.
This is a beautiful
Art Deco stove and
these photos do not
really do it
justice.
The dimensions are:
61cms (41”)H x 38cms
(15”) W x 40cms
(15½”) D and the
flue size is 9½cms
