Deville "Salamander" style Art Nouveau multi-fuel stove

This very beautiful and extremely
ornate French Art Nouveau bow fronted cast iron enamelled stove with a
porcelain pull handle was made by the well known manufacturer Deville & Cie of Charleville. This is medium
sized version of the 'Salamandre' style, and is called a 'cheminée
à feu
visible et continue' by the manufacturers. This stove was designed for coal
and coke burning, it will burn wood easily too but in smaller pieces.
The dimensions are: 68cms H (26¾”) x 58.5cms W (23”) x 40cms D (15¾”) and the flue size is 9.7cms (3¾”) 41.5cms (16½”) from the floor.
Weight is about 70kgs
