"Godinette" No 400 Art deco multi-fuel stove by Godin |
|||||||
|
This is a fantastic stove by the well known and highly respected firm Godin. It dates from sometime about the late 1920's to just before the war. We have managed to reference it in our 1935 catalogue and have seen it in a 1939 catalogue. It is in a striking green enamel, and there are many signs that this stove has had very little use in its time - the firebricks look as if they have never seen a flame! There is a chip on the ashtray, however, but as its usual to find this kind of stove without the ashtray, its not a big problem. The condition is absolutely splendid, and the colour is excellent. The firebox, riddler and ash box are all in flawless working condition and ready to use, and the mica in the door is original. The dimensions are: 69cms (35”)H x 44cms (15¾”)W x 32cms (15¾”)D. The flue is 8.3cms (3¼”) in diameter and is 36cms (17¾") from the floor .
