"Nouvelle Cheminee" Art deco multi-fuel stove by Godin SOLD |

|
This is a superb deco stove by the well known and highly respected firm Godin. It dates from sometime about the late 1920's to just before the war. We have managed to reference it in our 1935 catalogue. It is in a beautiful powder blue enamel, and there are many signs that this stove has had very little use in its time - the firebricks look as if they have never seen a flame! Lift the enamel lid and there's another lid that can be used for cooking. Open the inner lid and drop logs of up to 40cms (15¾”).There is a crack on the top lid and on the body which can be seen in the last 2 photos. I must stress that this does not impinge on the look or the performance of this stove. Apart from this, the condition is absolutely splendid, and the colour is excellent. The firebox, riddler and ash box are all in flawless working condition and ready to use. Please note that the mica windows will be replaced prior to sale. This is indeed a rare opportunity for you Art Deco lovers to own a real living breathing original piece that can heat your home and keep your food warm at the same time. The dimensions are: 63cms H (24¾”) x 44cms W (17¼”) x 37cms D (14½”) and the flue size is 11.1cms (4¼”) 40cms (15¾”) from the floor. Weight is about 60kgs
