This is truly a stunning Art nouveau stove by Sougland, called "Etoile" (meaning "Star"). We've managed to date it to sometime in the mid 1920's . What fabulous style this stove has! It is in a beautiful French powder blue coloured enamel. The enamel and the chrome work are in beautiful condition. the stove carries an unusual star & moon motif throughout the casting Lift the enamel lid and there's a hotplate that can be used for cooking. Logs of up to 40cms (15¾”) are loaded through the side door. The "Etoile" is in fantastic condition , and the colour is really well defined throughout. The firebox, is in excellent working condition, the firebrick having just been replaced. Please note that the mica windows have been replaced with a top quality clear mica which will give years of use if looked after. This is indeed a rare opportunity for Art Nouveau lovers to own a stunning, living breathing, original piece of furniture, with a highly unusual motif to the casting, that can heat your home and keep your food warm at the same time! The dimensions are: 52cms H (20½”) x 53cms W (20”) x 31cms D (12 ¼”) The flue size is 9.7cms (3¾”) 33cms (13”) from the floor. It can heat a room of around 100m3 Weight is about 50kgs (110lbs)
