This is a lovely little Art Deco/Arts & Crafts style log burner by the famous French company Sougland . It dates from sometime in the 1920/30's. It is in lovely condition, as you will see from the photos. The enamel is in great condition and is a deep chocolate brown colour. It's modest size means that it will fit quite well into any moderately sized fireplace. It's look is mid way between Art Deco and Arts & Crafts which is quite popular, and will enhance any room in your home. When you lift the enamelled lid there is a double hotplate which is always handy! Wood is loaded through the side door which makes this stove highly useable. It has one or two small chips to the enamel, but nothing that detracts from its individual charm. It has age and use attached to it. Please note that the mica windows have been replaced with a top quality clear mica which will give years of use if looked after. This is indeed a rare opportunity for Art Deco/Arts & Crafts lovers to own a stunning, living breathing, original piece of furniture, that can heat your home and keep your food warm at the same time!
