Smaller "Le Petit Godin"
This is a fantastic opportunity to own an early, smaller example of a popular multi-fuel stove, made by the superb and well known manufacturer Godin who has been around since 1840. The cast iron castings are enamelled in an unusual shade of turquoise/blue. It has a cylindrical body on three claw feet, with a decoratively cast door faced with mica. It is about 3-4kw in power and can burn practically every sort of combustible imaginable. Fuel is loaded from the top. Lift the enamel lid and there's another lid that can be used for cooking. Open the inner lid and drop logs of up to 40cms (15¾”) in vertically. Once the wood fire is established, add more wood or add coal. It is superb condition for its age - estimated at the turn of the 20th century, and is ready to use. We have never seen such a dinky petit Godin it is simply outstanding! This is a beautiful stove and these photos do not really do it justice The dimensions are: 70cms H (27½”) x 28cms (11") in diameter and the flue size is 8.3cms (3¼”) and is 56cms (22")from the floor.
